Emails pretending to be my boss cost me money

I got an email from this address [email protected] and it looked like it was from my boss. The messages were really pressuring and I am new to the company so I didn't know it wasn't actually him reaching out. I ended up sending $1,600.

It all happened through email. They posed as my boss and I just went along with it because I thought I was doing what I was told. I feel stupid about it now but I was just trying to do my job right. No company name was on anything, just that email address.
