Lost $2500 to a loan scam after getting a text

I got a text about a home loan. It looked real, so I called the number they gave, (424) 400-1953. The person I talked to said they were from One Main Home Loans and their website was one main home loans.com. They had an email, [email protected], and an address in Van Nuys, CA.

They said I needed to pay an advance fee to get the loan approved. It didn't feel right, but I really needed the loan. I sent them $2500. After they got the money, everything stopped. No more replies to my calls or emails. The website doesn't work right either.

I gave them all my personal information for the application, everything. Now I'm out the money and I have to worry about what they'll do with my details. It was a complete scam.
