Got a weird auction text asking for my passport and wire transfer

I got a text message about an auction from OTM Auctions. The website is otmauctions.com and the contact email is [email protected]. The phone number was (773) 270-2352.

They were offering items but then said I had to wire money. They also wanted personal identification like my passport and driver's license. That felt really off to me. I didn't send any money or my ID, but the whole thing just didn't make sense. Why would an auction need my passport?
