Donated loom turned into shipping scam with fake tracking

Sofia reached out to me by email saying she wanted to donate her late husband’s loom to a good home. That’s not that unusual in the fiber world so I asked some questions about it and the answers seemed fine. I sent money through Venmo to have it shipped to me.

Then I got a tracking number from Parcel Delivery Go by email and Sofia also sent me the same number. Three days later I got another email from Parcel Delivery Go saying where the package was in transit, it was in some tiny town in Colorado with like 1200 people. But the tracking number was different this time.

I tried to go to their website to track it and it’s just a fake site. The loom never showed up. Lost $604.
