Job offer from Handshake turned out to be a fake check scam

I got contacted through Handshake, the school employer website, after I put in an application. Did the whole interview and they said I was moving forward to onboarding. Then they emailed me a check to print out for $4950 and I deposited it into my bank.

The bank approved it so I went ahead and put the money into Cash App like they asked, for the vendor to get equipment for the remote job. After I sent the money the check came back as fraudulent. Now my bank account is sitting at negative $3000 and I don't know what to do.
