Renewed my passport on a site that looked official

I went to renew my passport and that site pulled up. It looked official enough so I just did it through there. I paid $220 and thought everything was fine.

Then nothing came. No passport, no updates, nothing. I tried to call the number on the site but it just rings. The website is still up but I don't think it's real. I just wanted my passport renewed and now I'm out the money.

Paid for a passport on a fake .org site that wasn't the government

I was trying to get my first passport and this site passport.uspassportandvisa.org was the first thing that came up. I just figured it was the right place since it looked official. I paid them $155.83 for the application and everything.

Then they told me I had to go to the post office and send a money order to the government for the actual passport. That's when I realized something was off. I never got any passport from them and I lost that money. I should have looked closer at the web address and seen it was .org not .gov. My fault for not checking but it still feels like a scam.

Website pretending to be the US passport renewal site

This website looks like the official US passport renewal page but it’s not. I thought I was on the real government site and put in all my personal info. All they did was take what I entered and fill out the form for me. It’s something I could have done myself in 5 minutes.

They charged me $105 for this. I didn’t realize until after I saw the charge. They just take your information and overcharge you for nothing. No company name on the site either.

Website that looks like passport renewal but steals your personal info

This website passport.uspassportandvisa.org is the first thing that comes up when you Google for passport renewal. It looks totally legit like a real government site. But they just steal your social security number, name, email, phone number and even your parents info. Then they get you to pay for what you think is a passport renewal but it's really just some pre-filled application form. They don't submit anything to the government and they're not connected to the government at all. Complete scam.

Website that looked like government passport renewal took my money

I went to this website thinking it was the official government site to renew my passport. It looks exactly like the real one. I paid $100.63 and never got anything back. No passport, no updates, nothing.

The email is [email protected] and the address they list is in Clearwater, FL 33759. But it’s just a scam. They make you pay for a service you’re never going to receive. It’s totally misleading and deceitful.

I feel stupid for falling for it. But the site is really well made to trick people.

Charged for passport forms on a fake government look-alike site

I was online filling out the passport form from what I thought was the government site. I got to the last page with the passport fees, which said $130.00. I put in my credit card to pay that, but then I got charged $104.88 by passport.uspassportandvisa.org.

It seemed strange to be charged less than the official fee. I checked my email confirmation and saw the number (321) 221-5210 at the top. That's not a government number. I looked into it more and the website is totally misleading, it mimics the real government site.

I was tricked into paying for documents I could have gotten free from the actual passport website. I want my money back.

Website charged me for passport paperwork and took my personal info

I went to this website that looks exactly like an official government site. It's passport.uspassportandvisa.org. I thought it was legitimate.

They charged me $104.88 to complete passport paperwork. Now I realize it's not a government agency at all. They have all my personal information and I don't know what they're going to do with it.

Why is this even allowed? The site clearly pretends to be official.

Paid a website to renew my passport and only got a form

I was trying to renew my passport and clicked on one of the top results from ******. The website looked just like the real passport renewal site. The charge was even the same amount. I filled everything out—my name, social security number, address, and paid the money. I thought I was all set.

Turns out their whole service was just to mail me a prefilled application form. That’s it. I still have to pay the government to actually renew my passport. So I paid them $110 for basically nothing. The website is https://passport.uspassportandvisa.org/passport-v3 and it’s just set up to look official.
