Phone call saying I’m an emergency reference for someone

Got a call from a guy named Paul Everett saying he’s from some pre-legal department. He said I’m being listed as an emergency reference for someone I don’t even know. Then he started talking about paperwork that was filed and stamped by a notary and something about distributions being released to parties and families.

He said I need to contact him before all that can happen. He gave his name as Paul and said he’d be in his office till around 6:30. The number he called from was (720) 634-1002. There was no company name, just that pre-legal department thing. It didn’t make any sense.
