Someone is using my email for a PayPal account I never opened
The rep wouldn't help me at all. I told them I can't log in because there's no account to log into, and they just hung up on me. I'm not trying to get into anything, I just want to know why my email is being used and how to get it removed from PayPal completely. Their website is Paypal.com and the address they have listed is 2211 N 1st., San Jose, CA 95131. I'm not sure what else to do here.
Hacked email and PayPal used for fake Booking.com trips
When I tried to call PayPal, the call got routed to a fake customer service number at 844-373-4961. A manager at Bank of America saw this happen. I thought under FDIC law my bank would cover it since my debit card was used through PayPal. At first Bank of America put the money back. But now they say since I authorized the transactions they won't rule for me.
I've been going back and forth with PayPal trying to get my money back. Nothing is working. I lost $4,557.88. I guess I have to hire a lawyer now to prove I didn't do any of this.

So I filed a dispute with PayPal and they denied it. They said because the merchant submitted a tracking number that shows delivered. But it's bogus. I lost $93.56 and now I'm stuck with nothing.

I called the post office and they said the tracking number was not legit and they had no packages for me. Then I clicked the email address the seller gave me and it went nowhere. So I disputed it with PayPal asking for a charge back. PayPal denied my case saying the seller provided the info needed for delivery. I asked what info because there were no photos of it on my doorstep or in a parcel locker and the tracking number was fake. PayPal just said they were no longer monitoring the conversation and closed the case. So much for PayPal being a legit payment platform.

The note said I got an email because my account processed a payout by small deposit confirmation. It said if I authorized it, do nothing. But if I didn't, I should contact PayPal Customer Care at +1 (888) 927-9710 right away to secure my account and ask for a refund.

I didn't authorize any Bitcoin purchase and no money was taken, but getting an email like this is really concerning. It looks official but the contact info is all wrong.
