Investment offer to buy my shares but no check ever came

I got a call from these people saying they wanted to buy my shares from Prudential for 9529.90. They made it sound like a real offer and I thought it was legit. They had an address at 295 Madison ave in New York and an email [email protected].

The phone number they used was (212) 523-0973. I waited and waited but they never sent me the check. It's been a while now and nothing. I lost that money and I don't know what else to do.

Letter offering to buy my mother’s shares but now I can’t reach them

I got a letter from Potemkin Limited dated Jan. 16 2026 saying they wanted to buy my mother’s shares in Brighthouse Financial. I filled out the paperwork a few times and sent copies of my power of attorney. The shares already got transferred to them from Brighthouse.

Now I’ve tried emailing them and all I get back is a standard form letter. I called the number they gave, (212) 523-0973, and the message says they have too many calls to respond and you can’t even leave a message. I need to get rid of all my mother’s stuff so she can qualify for Medicaid and I’m stuck.
