Got a text about renewing insurance for a car I don't even own.
I got a text message about renewing an insurance policy from PPG. It was for a vehicle they had listed, but I don't own that car. I've never owned it. The whole thing felt off because it was for a policy I never took out. The text came from the phone number (888) 432-3154. I didn't click anything or lose money, but it was a weird phishing attempt that didn't make any sense. Why are they contacting me about a car I don't have?

Got a letter about renewing my car warranty that I never asked for
I got a letter in the mail saying it was the "final Attempt to Renew" a warranty for my car. It said I tried to renew coverage on 1-20-26, but I never contacted anyone about a warranty. Not ever.
The letter wanted me to call right away to activate an identification card they sent. At the bottom, it says PPG is an independent company that provides extended service protection on behalf of lending third party administrators. The whole thing felt off because I never started this.

Got a letter about renewing coverage for a car I don't even own
I got a letter in the mail from a business called PPG. It says this is the final attempt to renew the coverage for a 2021 Toyota Corolla. The thing is, I don't have a car. I don't own that vehicle or any vehicle. The letter had a phone number on it, (888) 420-7124. It just feels like a fake bill or something. I didn't pay anything, but it's confusing to get mail like this for something that isn't mine.
