Debt collector left a note at my dad’s house about CashNet USA

Someone called my dad’s house and left a note with a call back number and a case number. Said I owed $1096.00 to CashNet USA. So I called the number and they told me lawyers picked up my file and I was being sued. They said I had to pay through their company "premier" or I’d have to go to court.

The whole thing felt off. They didn’t send me anything in the mail or call me directly first. Just went to my dad’s place. The email they gave was [email protected] and the phone number was (855) 553-3709 out of Memphis, TN. I didn’t pay anything but it was pretty scary getting that note.
