Text about a remote job led to a strange interview and a check in the mail.

I got a text saying someone named Virginia Violini looked at my resume and wanted to talk about a remote job with Profilglass S.p.A. They told me to get the Signal app and message a guy named Filippo Genga for details.

So I did, and he did what seemed like a job interview. He said they were going to send a check so I could buy a company laptop and printer. The next day, they sent over employment forms to fill out and send back. I did that, there wasn't any banking info on them.

After that, he gave me a FedEx tracking number for the check. It's still showing in transit. He contacts me every single day asking if the check arrived yet. The FedEx info says the package is coming from Woodlands, Texas. The whole thing just feels off.
