Signed up for a dollar but got charged every month without knowing

I was looking for info on a property I was interested in. Their website said it was a one time charge of just $1.00. So I put my card in thinking that was it.

Turns out they signed me up for a monthly subscription for $9.95 a month without telling me. I never authorized that. I had no idea it was happening until I saw the charges on my statement. Total waste of money and a scam.

Kept getting charged after signing up for a $1 property deed lookup

I saw an ad for PropertyRecords.com saying it was just a dollar to look up a property deed. So I put my information in. Right away it showed a charge for $8. Then they charged my card $7, then another $8, and then $9, all on March 11th. They did the same thing again on March 13th, all those charges. I never got any deed or information. All I got was an email telling me to go to St. Louis county myself. I paid them $48 and they did nothing.
