Letter from someone pretending to be the patent office about my trademark
I got this letter in the mail from a company called PTO-US. They said my trademark is about to expire and I need to pay $1900 to renew it. The letter looks official but something felt off about it.
They have a website at www.pto-us.com and an email [email protected]. Their address is 19125 North Creek Parkway Suite 120 in Bothell, WA. The phone number they gave is (800) 983-4701.
I looked into it and this company is not the actual US patent and trademark office. They are pretending to be them. I did not pay anything but I am worried other people might fall for this.
