Paid two dollars then got charged sixty over three months
The site looks like it's trying to pretend to be a government site or something. It charges differently than what it says on the screen. This is just misleading. Someone should look into it and stop them.
Online site kept charging me after a one time info request
Started out small with $1 then $5 and then it jumped to $20. I contacted them asking to stop and I canceled my account on the site too. Already notified my credit card company about it but wanted to report it here as well. Still no resolution from them.
Advertised a one dollar fee but charged me way more
Then one month later they charged me again. So I contacted them and they told me the one-time fee was just to search but if you want to actually search you have to pay this monthly fee they didn’t advertise anywhere. They did refund me for that month since I only used it once but still. Someone who doesn’t check their bank statements close could get charged over and over for months without noticing.
Charged $31 for a report that was supposed to be $1
And the results they gave me were for some random person I didn’t even ask about. It was a total scam. Don’t fall for it like I did.
Signed up for a $1 record but got charged $49.75 in bi-weekly fees
I called them up and asked what was going on. They said I signed up for some service but they could not show me any proof or walk me through how to even log into the website. They were rude about me even asking questions. Just not a good feeling about the whole thing.
Eventually they said they would cancel it and refund one charge of $9.95 but not the rest. Which I thought was strange since they couldn't even prove I signed up or give me access to anything. I am reporting this because I think it is a scam.
Paid a dollar for a property report and got charged thirty instead
Right after that charge went through I got a text from my bank asking if I approved a charge for thirty dollars. I said no, I didn't approve that, it was supposed to be a one time dollar charge. Called my bank right away and canceled my card. Now I have to wait up to a week to get a new one.
Ordered info once but they kept charging me monthly
I called the number they had, (888) 700-8184. They said they canceled my account. But I don't believe them. I'm still worried they'll charge me again. I just wanted the one thing.
Paid for one property report and got charged for months
Then for the next three months they just kept charging me $9.95 each time. I didn't even realize at first. When I did I went to their live chat and told them this was a scam. They refunded me right away and said they closed my account. But I never opened an account to begin with. I just wanted one report. This site is pretending to be a government property site and it needs to be shut down.
Getting constant loan calls from a number I don't know
I never asked for a loan from them. I don't even know how they got my number. I just want the calls to stop.
Charged $158 for a simple search on PublicRecords.us
I emailed their support at [email protected], and I tried calling the number they have, (888) 700-8184. They're supposed to be in Fayetteville, AR. But I couldn't get my money back. They just wouldn't give me a refund.
Signed me up for a subscription I never agreed to
Charged $25 for searches I never made on publicrecords.us
I never authorized those charges. I’m going to try and get them taken off my card. It just doesn’t feel right to be charged for things I didn’t do.
Charged for a membership I never signed up for
I called their help number, (888) 700-8184. The person told me that according to their "terms and conditions," I'd keep getting charged for some membership service unless I canceled it. I never agreed to any membership. They did refund the $16.95 after I called, but the whole thing feels like a scam.
Charges on my bill from a site I never used
Then they said they wouldn't cancel my account unless I gave them the last eight digits of my credit card. I refused to do that. It felt completely off. I had to call my actual credit card company, Elan Financial Services, and they agreed to block all future charges from this publicrecords.us.
