Got a call saying I won millions from Publishers Clearing House

I got a phone call from someone named Peter Brian. He said I won 2.5 million dollars from Publishers Clearing House. Then he told me I needed to send a check for $499. He said to send it to a Jaunita Franklin at 530 Meridian Ave, apartment 310 in Miami Beach, FL 33159. The whole thing felt off. I didn't send any money. The call came from (786) 519-1165.

Got a text saying I won money from Publishers Clearing House

I got a text message out of the blue. It said I won money and to contact this number, (516) 500-2685.

A guy answered and said his name was David Sawyer. He said he was with publishers clearing house. He was talking about a prize. I didn't sign up for anything with them. The whole thing felt off so I didn't give any information. Just wanted to report this text.

Someone called my elderly mother claiming she won millions

I got a call from my 85-year-old mother because someone was on the phone with her. They said she won 18 million dollars and a new car from Publishers Clearing House. They kept berating her until she called me.

I talked to the person myself and they were just as rude. They told her she needed to secure a CPA for $599 to get her winnings and that it wasn't a scam. They were very pushy and aggressive.

I really believe if I hadn't stepped in, she would have been a victim. The whole thing felt so wrong. The caller's number was (213) 293-5549 and they said they were in Los Angeles, CA.

Got a scam call about winning a prize from Publishers Clearing House

I got a call from a guy saying he was from Publishers Clearing House. He said his name was Dave Sayer. He said we won $2.5 million dollars and a new 2026 Denali with a year of insurance and three months of free gas from Shell. Also $7,500 a week for six months.

He said he got our name because we shopped at Walmart and spent over $30.00. He gave us check numbers and a winning prize number. Then he said all we had to do was go to Dollar General and buy two $500 money cards. After that, the prize patrol would be on their way in 2-3 days.

I knew it was a scam right from the start. I just let him talk to see what he wanted. My hang-up message for this guy wasn't pretty. He makes it sound very attractive. I hope people don't fall for it. It would have cost us $1,000.

Got a letter saying I won $750,000 from Publishers Clearing House

I got this letter in the mail saying I won a reward from Publishers Clearing House. It said I won $750,000. The letter had a phone number on it: (646) 526-7961. It also had a return address of a PO box in New York.

It felt off right away. I know these things are usually scams. I didn't call the number or anything, so I didn't lose any money. But it's still annoying to get this stuff in my mailbox, pretending to be from a real company. It just shouldn't be allowed to happen.
