Call from someone claiming to be BBB about a prize

A Laura Hill called me from 719-424-9495 saying she was with the BBB. She told me I had an unclaimed Publishers Clearing House prize and gave me a number to call, 516-644-0541, to claim it.

So I called that number. A man answered and said his name was Howie Guja. He told me I needed to go to the nearest drug store and buy a "Claims Card" for $498.00. Then he changed it and said a $500.00 Amazon Gift Card instead. He said I had to give it to the person delivering the check.

I asked him why I would need to buy any card for a free prize. He said it was basically a processing fee to get the $10 million prize and the Mercedes Benz.

I told him this is a scam and to go get a real job.

Phone call saying I won a big prize from Publishers Clearing House

Got a call from (410) 870-8564 and the person said they were from Publishers Clearing House. They told me I was a big winner. Sounded real at first but something felt off.

They didn't ask for money but wanted some personal info. I didn't give them anything. The address they gave was Castle Rock, WA 98611 which I looked up and it doesn't seem right for Publishers Clearing House.

I didn't lose any money but I'm reporting this because it feels like a scam. I just want others to know about it.
