Video call saying I won Publishers Clearing House but needed Amazon cards
I kept asking how this was even possible and he had an answer for everything. He said I needed to buy a $500 Amazon Card from Walmart or CVS to give to the people bringing the vehicle. He said the car would be insured with Allstate for 5 years and told me to take my license and not lose the info about the Check Number and Package Registration Number.
I live on an island that doesn't even have a CVS and I've never entered any Publishers Clearing House contest. The whole thing made no sense. The guy's phone number was (347) 649-8331 and his email was [email protected].
Letter saying I won $750,000 with a check inside and a phone number to call
It tells me to keep this totally secret until the money is in my account. Then it says deposit the check and call claims agent Paul Smurl right away at 718-239-2239. They also put an office number as 518-239-2239.
Something felt off about it. The whole thing seems strange.
