Call from someone saying he was from Publishers Clearing House about a prize

I got a call from a guy named Michael Anderson. Said he was from Publishers Clearing House and had a badge number 1064801. He told me I won $750,000 and they would pay me by a certified check.

Then he said I needed to go get a $500 Amazon gift card from CVS to prove my identity. Said he would set up delivery of the check today. That part felt off so I looked up Publishers Clearing House scams online. Found out they never tell winners ahead of time like that so I knew it was fake.

No money lost just my time wasted. The number he called from was (650) 784-0188.
