Call pretending to be CenturyLink about landline shutdown

RingPlanet called me and said they were from CenturyLink. They told me that CenturyLink was getting rid of all landlines and sent me a package with phones in it. I thought it was weird so I called CenturyLink myself.

CenturyLink told me RingPlanet is a scam pretending to be them. They said they are not discontinuing landlines at all. So this company just lied to me. Their number is (888) 753-1753 and their website is ringplanet.com. They are at 16830 Ventura Blvd., Suite 350 in Encino, CA. They also sent emails from [email protected].
