Paid $800 for a puppy that never showed up from a fake breeder

I found this website riversidespaniels.com looking for a puppy. They said they were based in Ohio so I emailed them about a puppy. We agreed on $600 for the puppy and $200 for a flight to get it delivered.

Then I got a call from someone saying they worked for a company called Air Pet Travels. They told me I had to pay a $1500 refundable crate deposit. That’s when it started feeling really off. So I started looking into it more and found other people online saying the exact same thing happened to them.

These two are connected. Both are scammers. I lost $800 and got nothing.
