Paid fifty dollars to talk to someone who wasn’t real

I was talking to someone on a dating site for a few weeks. They seemed really nice and we had a lot in common. They asked me to move to a private chat app and things felt normal at first.

Then they started asking for money. Small stuff at first. I sent $50 because they said they needed help with a bill. After I sent it I noticed the messages started sounding weird. Like copied and pasted. I asked to video call and they kept making excuses.

I found out later it was an AI bot the whole time. Just a program pretending to be a person. Felt pretty stupid honestly. No real company name anywhere I could find. Just a fake profile and a waste of my time.
