Man claiming to be an attorney from Romero Law Firm pressured us for money

Someone called us saying he was an attorney from Romero Law Firm. He asked a bunch of questions about our case and seemed like he knew what he was talking about. Then he said we needed to pay $1135 to cover paperwork costs.

We were already kind of doubting him but he kept putting pressure on us. He kept threatening that if we didn’t pay he was going to close our case. So we stupidly paid the fee. The phone number he used was (858) 480-4626 and the email was [email protected]. He said he was in Queens, NY. Now I’m pretty sure it was all a scam.
