Got a scary call about a debt and being taken to court

I got a call from someone named Sara Applebee. She left a voicemail on my husband's phone saying it was about an outstanding bill. When I called back, she told me I was about to be processed by the Sheriff's department and my bank account would be held until I went to court. I do have some bills, so it was hard to tell if this was real.

I got transferred to a "processor" named Bryan Flemming. He sent me a WORD document for a "contract" from his personal email, [email protected]. I questioned that and he said their docusign was down, and I just had to reply to the email saying "Authorize transaction." I refused. He sent me back to Sara, but then someone named Angela Miller called me and was really aggressive.

I gave them a CashApp card that only has $1 on it, just to see what would happen. They haven't charged it yet, but my so-called "payment arrangement" isn't for another week. The whole thing felt off.
