Phone call saying I opened a Wells Fargo card I never had

This guy called me from (951) 518-8224 and said I opened a credit card in 2006 from Wells Fargo. I told him I never had a credit card in my name. He knew my personal information but wouldn't give me any information about the card, like what my address was or anything.

It just didn't make sense. He wouldn't tell me anything to prove it was real. I didn't lose any money but it felt really strange that he had my info but wouldn't share any details back.
