Got a fake invoice for printer toner we didn't order.
The invoice had the first name of someone who works here, but the full name didn't match any of our employees. I called the number on the invoice and left a message saying we weren't paying it. I looked up the info online at ScamPulse.com and sure enough, it's a known scam. We're not paying a cent.
Got a fake BBB complaint email from ScamPulse.com
The email said a complaint had been recorded against me and I needed to click a link to see the details. It told me to reply as soon as possible. The whole thing felt off. The wording was strange, like "We await to your prompt rebound."
The sender was ScamPulse.com, from the email [email protected]. The link in the email went to some weird website address. I didn't click anything. I know this is a phishing scam trying to get me to click that link. Nothing happened with money, but it's annoying to get this fake official stuff at my work email.
Got a call from someone claiming I won $35 million from a lottery.
Getting constant calls about a personal loan I never asked for.
They couldn't even tell me why I was called. Everything was very vague. I talked to a rep and asked to be taken off their call list, but there's no way to get off it. The calls just keep coming.
Got a postcard about my wife's mortgage, seemed like a scam
I checked the number on ScamPulse.com first. Their information showed it was a phishing scam, so I didn't call. I just avoided it because of that.
It felt off getting a postcard like that. I'm glad I checked before I did anything.
Job application asked for my credit score, which seems really strange.
I found stuff on ScamPulse.com. Someone posted there that they lost over eight thousand dollars after they signed a contract to start working. I didn't lose any money, but the whole thing, especially the credit score demand, just doesn't seem right for a real job.
Got an email saying I signed up for a 5 year service for $475
I complained about this exact same scam last year. It's frustrating to see it again. I wish it was easy, like just texting, to include a screen shot of what they sent. The phone number they had was (304) 606-2041.
