Phone call about car warranty that ended up being from a random company

I got a phone call from a local number, (531) 216-9283, and they started talking about getting a warranty on my car. I gave them my car info and they transferred me to a few different lines for some warranty plan. I ended up saying yes over the phone to the plan.

Then I got an email from [email protected] and it was not from Toyota at all, just some company I never heard of. I feel scammed and I am angry about it because I do not have the time or patience for this. I am scared they will keep targeting me and calling me. I do not want to pay the amount and I am planning to go to the bank on the next business day.

Phone call about Nissan warranty that already had my loan info

Someone called me from (570) 227-6841 saying they were with Nissan. They said my car warranty hasn't been activated yet and they had all my vehicle and loan information already. Like the make model everything.

I thought they were working with the dealership so I gave them my bank account info. They knew so much about my car and my loan it seemed real. Now I realize it was phishing. I didn't lose any money but I feel stupid for trusting them.

Their email was [email protected].

Phone call about car warranty activation with Hyundai connection

I got a call from this guy named Samual Johnson and he said my cars warranty needed to be activated. He knew a lot of my info already and said Hyundai had been trying to contact me so I kinda believed him. He had my car details and everything.

He needed my account and routing number for a payment. He said it was $147 and then worded it weird like it was for 36 months after. I told him no my cars warranty was free from the dealership for 100k miles or 10 years. He said that wasnt true and I needed to activate it and make payments and he was from Hyundai so I went with it.

After I hung up I realized it was a scam. I transfered all the money out of that account and closed it. Now I'm trying to cancel the warranty and payments but I dont know how. The company on the phone was Service Activation Center. Their number is (971) 395-4306 and email was [email protected].

Letter with no return address about my car warranty renewal

I got this letter in the mail with no return address on it. It says "IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUESTED TO THIS NOTICE REQUESTED - Final Notice" and there’s no company name or anything except a phone number. It wants me to renew my car’s warranty.

The top part of the letter looks like a check—it’s called a "Registration Fee Voucher" for $199.00 with my name and address on it. But right under that it says "THIS IS NOT A CHECK." So that was confusing.

Down in the fine print it says the policy is through "Service Activation Center FL License #: G158355." I looked that up online and found this place. The phone number on the letter is (888) 500-1321. I didn’t lose any money, but it felt strange getting something like that with no return address.

Getting constant loan scam calls from a number I don't know

I keep getting these harassing calls about a loan from 888-269-4978. They call me multiple times a day, every single day. I've told them to stop and they just keep calling. They're really aggressive and rude when they talk.

I never gave these people my number. I never applied for any loan with them. I think they got my info from some website or something. It's been going on for weeks now and it's driving me crazy. I just want the calls to stop.

Got tricked into buying a car warranty over the phone

I was at the Toyota dealership getting my car serviced when I got a call from the Service Activation Center. They made it sound like it was Toyota calling, saying my warranty had expired and offering me a deal on a new one. I gave them my credit card info.

When I got home, I tried to look them up online and realized it was a scam. I called to cancel but got no help at all. I sent back the contract booklet they mailed me with a cancellation letter, certified mail. I also sent a certified letter to Mepco, who seems to be part of this, telling them to stop charging my card. They got that letter on April 6th and charged my card for $151.22 on April 7th anyway.

Now I just got another booklet from them in the mail. I'm sending it back with another cancellation letter, certified, again.
