Phone call about health worker benefits from unknown group
I got a call from this number (830) 259-8529 from a guy saying he was with some organization that's not known to the general public. He said they were reaching out to people who are health certified or licensed by the state, or people who did student health training. He said they wanted to give us benefits that law enforcement officers got in the past.
He kept trying to get me to apply for life insurance, saying me and my family would be covered. He really wanted to keep me on the phone, saying he had to follow protocol and read a document explaining the benefits. It was obvious he was reading off a script. When I asked about the legitimacy of his organization he started stumbling over his words. You could tell he was trying hard to change the subject back to his scam.
He kept trying to send me links to websites so he could show me his face and explain the benefits there. I thought that was weird.
