Paid $14.95 to win an iPad from an Instagram ad, got nothing

I saw this thing on Instagram, an ad for a chance to win an iPad if you picked the right square. I found the winning square and paid the $14.95. Right after I paid, it just said I had an *opportunity* to win an iPad. That felt off.

I called the number on my credit card statement, 844-732-2850. It was just an answering service. I told them what happened, and the person put me on hold to talk to the vendor. They came back and said no refund.

I told them I’d contact my credit card company and report it. Then they came back and offered me a $4.95 refund. I said no thanks. They came back again with some discount offer. I said no, that I was going to my credit card company and the BBB.

Then they said they’d escalate it for a full refund in 3 to 5 business days. The operator gave me the website address, www.snappysummaries.com. I went there and there’s no information, just a login page. Nothing.
