Airbnb host tried raising price after I booked saying their system glitched

I found this listing on Airbnb from Southern Coast for $2798 for a full week. Sounded good so I was ready to book. Then they came back and said the price was actually $4600 now because their system “glitched” – not Airbnb’s system, they made sure to say theirs.

When I asked why it changed so much they said the same place rented for $7300 a week last year. So how does it go from $7300 to $2798 and then jump to $4600? None of that adds up. I think they just wanted an extra $1800 out of me. Felt really sketchy.
