Paid for chimney work they never did, now they won't give my money back
I gave them a down payment for chimney work that was supposed to cost over $9,000. The day they were supposed to come, they told my husband our service was on a different date. Then they called me saying there was some emergency. At that point, we didn't want to work with them anymore because of all the lies and confusion.
They promised to give me a refund if I didn't say anything bad about the company. I have a recording of them saying I was supposed to get a refund. I also have an email where they promised to send my money back. I tried disputing the charge with my bank. The bank sided with them because they sent in fake paperwork for $2,857.94. I already had to hire another company to do the work and I sent the invoice as proof.
SP just waited until the dispute was closed. Then they said why would they pay me when they won the dispute. They did absolutely nothing for us.
