Got a call from "Special Resolutions Unit" about my file going to collections

I got a call from someone saying they were Brin Lopez from the special resolutions unit. They said they needed to talk to me about my file before it goes into collections. The whole thing felt off. The way they talked about it, it was like they were implying it was about the IRS or something. I never gave them any information. The number they called from was (833) 727-9955.

Constant calls about a tax matter from someone named Brian Lopez

I keep getting these calls. They left a voicemail saying it's Brian Lopez with the special resolutions unit. He said he's reaching out about a tax matter that's time sensitive and important.

He said he needs to speak with me before my file moves into final collections. He said he's checking files flagged before some 2026 IRS deadline and mine has unresolved items. Maybe a past balance or missing returns. He said to call him back at 833-727-9955, he's available 9 to 5.

I'm getting constant calls exactly like this. It doesn't make sense to me.
