Someone pretending to be Spectrum ordered phones in my name

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Spectrum. Next thing I know there are two cell phones ordered in my name and I never ordered anything. They had the phones mailed to a different address so they could grab them and use them.

I'm out $2800 over this and Spectrum won't reimburse me. They basically act like it's not their problem even though someone was posing as their company to do this.

I called the number (802) 214-5295 and there's a website that looks like Spectrum's at spectrum.com but the emails come from [email protected]. Spectrum is doing nothing to help me even though I was the one targeted here.

They took my info after I bought a new iPhone from them

I bought a brand new iPhone 17 Pro on August 14th. They claim to be Spectrum, the home and internet provider that also does cell service. I thought I was dealing with the real company.

But they used the same internet and mobile service they provide to steal my personal information. I ended up losing $1000 because of this. The phone number they used was (254) 217-0980 and the website was spectrum.net. They also sent emails from [email protected].

I don't understand how a company can take your info like that when you're paying them for service. The address they gave was 12405 Powerscourt Drive in Saint Louis, MO. I just want my money back.

Got a strange call about lowering my bill with new phones

I got a call from someone saying they were from Spectrum. They said they could reduce my current bill and also partner with Verizon, which is my phone service, to lower those rates too. The deal was I had to go to their website and order two phones on my account. They said to have the phones delivered to my home, but not to open the box when they arrived. Instead, I was supposed to call a number they gave me, 210-201-4344, to get a shipping label to return them unopened. Then I'd get a discount on next month's bill. The whole thing felt off.

Spectrum keeps charging me late fees after I already paid my bill

I've been paying my Spectrum bill two times a month. I called several times asking why my bill is so high when it's supposed to be $120 a month, due on the 20th. They told me my bill wasn't paid on time. So I paid it all up in February. They took $120 on March 20th. Now why is Spectrum trying to take another $120 on April 4th when the bill is due on the 20th? I called and they said it was hit with late charges. How? I paid it up in full. They have been robbing me for a whole year. I want all my money back. How can I get my money back?

Got a call about a fake cable bill discount, they asked for my Social Security number

I got a call saying I could get a discount on my Spectrum cable bill. They said it was 50% off for two years. They were going to send a code so I could call them back.

They called back and said they needed my Social Security number to run a credit check for the discount. I told them they didn't need that if they already had my account info. That felt off, so I hung up.

I called Spectrum directly. They told me no such offers were from them. The people who called me were from another country. It was a scam.

Got a weird call about my Spectrum discount being canceled

I just got a call from an Oklahoma number, I let it go to voicemail. It was someone saying they were from "Spectrum" and that my 50% discount would be canceled if I didn't respond immediately to the number on the Caller ID.

I just moved and I did set up service with Spectrum. The whole thing felt off. The message was urgent and told me to call back the number that called me. I didn't call back.
