Unordered Package (Brushing Scam)

Received a package today we didn’t order—from a place we’ve never visited (in-person or virtually). Did a quick check with everyone to see if they had ordered anything recently. Nope. Quick internet search (use Duck, Duck, Go; Not Google) & low & behold it’s a common scam. US Postal Service is aware of it (see link) and probably why these scammers don’t use USPS (it’s a federal felony).

SpeedX is just the delivery mechanism. The real scammers are hidden in the dark shadows of the Dark Web.

Package delivery issues with no help from Speedx at all

I ordered a package from Element Vape and it was supposed to be delivered by Speedx. But every single day there's some issue on their end. One day they claim they can't locate the address on the package—which is a well known business—then they claim the address is invalid. Same place, well known business.

Then this morning I got messages saying they were returning my package to the shipper. Not long after that I get emails telling me my package is out for delivery. Still no package though. The drivers don't even speak English enough to make a delivery successfully. They offer no help at all. No phone number, no live people, just an automated email that says good news your package is out for delivery. Very inconsistent. I never got my package or my money back. Extremely furious right now.

Got a weird package with a QR code from a scam address

I got a package in the mail, just like some other people have. It was addressed to me. The return label said it was from someone named Jerry, and the address was 9208 Charles Smith Ave, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730. The shipping company listed on the label is SpeedX.

There's a QR code on the outside of the package. I haven't scanned it or opened the box. I looked it up online and found out this is a known scam.

I think it might be connected to something that happened last week. A friend's email got hacked, and I got a strange email from their account. Now this package shows up. It doesn't feel right.

Got a weird package of e-cigarettes I never ordered

I got a small package today from SpeedX. It was just dropped off in front of my door. Inside was a weird looking box with e-cigarettes and some type of liquid. I didn't order this. I've never even seen anything like it before.

I didn't open it because I was worried it could be hazardous or dangerous material in there. What's really odd is that I don't get any mail at this address at all. The shipper address on it was 2452 Gillingham Circle, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362.
