Paid for an engine and they stopped answering

On June 15th I bought an engine from Sterling. They told me delivery would be in 15-18 days. I called them after that and they said next Friday. This went on for 3 weeks in a row. I already paid them $1680.00 for this thing.

Then they just stopped answering. No calls back, numbers disconnected, no reply to emails, even their online chat is dead. My bank says they can't do anything to help me get my money back. I am so angry. There are so many disgusting people out there.

Ordered an engine online and they stopped answering after I paid

I ordered an engine for my car on July 8 from www.sterlingaxis.com. The website looked totally legit so I went ahead and bought it. I was messaging back and forth with the seller and they kept reassuring me the engine would come soon and said it had a 6 month warranty.

After a week I asked about shipping and they said it was on its way and would be here in 7-10 business days. Then I tried calling a few more times and the number was disconnected. They just stopped answering me completely.

I lost $1,590. I called my credit card company right away and disputed it. They’re still looking into it but told me it’s probably a scam.
