TikTok ad for a product that never showed up

I saw a bunch of videos on TikTok for this product and finally decided to buy it. The link in the ad took me off the app, which is not how it usually works when people post stuff, but I didn’t think much of it. I placed the order and got a confirmation email, and the money came out of my bank through Apple Pay. It was $30.95.

After a few days the tracking link started showing activity through a third party shipping company I’ve used before, so it looked legit. The package was moving from China to the US and the updates kept coming. Then after about a month it said delivered, but nothing showed up at my address. I emailed them at [email protected] and got no reply.

I looked online after and saw a bunch of other people who fell for the same ads had the exact same thing happen. Nobody got their stuff.
