Got a scary call from Sullivan and Associates about a fake debt

I got a voicemail saying it was a very important call from Sullivan and Associates about my account. The message told me to call the number back on my caller ID right away because it was time sensitive.

So I called back. The person who answered said they were taking me to court over a debt from Crest Financial, for some loan. I asked if they could send me details or proof about this debt. They wouldn't send anything. They just said they were moving forward with legal action because I was refusing to pay. They said they were willing to settle for $400, but if they had to take legal action, I'd have to pay the full $2,000. The whole thing felt off.
