Got a fake job offer from a scam company called SummitBioImaging

I found this job listing on LinkedIn or Indeed. They told me to contact someone named Jessica Hollins at [email protected] for a company called SummitBioImaging.com. I got a job offer almost immediately. That felt off. There were never any phone calls. I checked, and there's no phone number on any of their emails or even on their website.

The offer letter was signed by a Michelle H Pittman, who they said was the COO. I don't think Jessica Hollins or Michelle Pittman are real people. They sent me an e-check to print. The name on the check wasn't even from the company. It was from two people, Anthony and Allison Fenuccio, with their real home address on it. That was a huge red flag.

The instructions were to deposit the check and then use the money to buy a software license. My guess is you'd buy it from them, and then the check would bounce later. Then your bank would take all that money back out of your account. The address they use is 423 W 127th st in New York, which is just virtual office space. The whole thing is a scam with a fake website and fake email addresses.
