Job offer that paid me $15 before I got suspicious

I got a job offer from someone and it seemed okay at first. They actually sent me $15 through Cash App before I did some digging online. That was the only money I ever saw from them.

The phone number they used was (279) 200-7364 and they had an email [email protected]. They said they were based in CA, USA. I didn't lose any money but it felt strange they would send me money first. Something didn't add up so I looked into it more.

I never gave them anything back and I stopped talking to them after that. No idea what the job actually was supposed to be.
