Fake shipping company asked me to prepay for lighting poles order

I was contacted by a guy named Mitch Gaines, which I’m pretty sure is a fake name. He wanted to order lighting poles and have them shipped to Honolulu HI. He told me I had to use this specific shipping company called “Swift Delivery Logistics” to handle the freight.

Turns out this fake company stole the identity of a real business called “Swift Delivery AND Logistics.” They copied the location and website but dropped the “AND” from the URL. Mitch gave me the email and phone number for this fake shipping company, and then a guy named Matt Evans sent me an invoice for the shipping. Both of them kept pushing me to pay it right away.

The whole scam is they order materials, get you to prepay the shipping, then cancel the product order and block you. We figured it out before any product shipped, so we didn’t lose any money. But still, it felt really shady.
