Job offer asked for my ID photo front and back

They called me about a remote job I guess from Indeed. Sounded legit at first. Then they sent a contract through email and asked for my name, address, email, and a picture of me beside my ID. Back and front of my ID.

That felt strange. I didn't send it. No company name on the email really except the website. The phone number was 1(505) 500-1163 and the email was [email protected]. They had an address too, 142 W Palace Ave Unit 203 in Santa Fe. I just stopped replying.
