Got a weird call about tax verification from a strange number.

I got a call out of the blue from 725-720-9326. I didn't answer, so they left a voicemail. The message said it was from Alara Whitfield at the Eligibility Confirmation Unit, part of the Tax Filing Resolution Office. They said my file was pending verification for an active account review.

They told me to call back at 771-247-3493 for a no-wait confirmation line. The whole thing felt off. I never contacted any office like that. It was just a random call asking me to call a different number to confirm my status. I didn't call back.
