Got a weird voicemail about my taxes and a pushy call back

I got a voicemail from someone named Kristen Alvarez. She said she was with the verification desk at the tax mediation adjustment office. The message said my file was in a final stage review and I needed to call back immediately at 771-247-4246.

So I called the number back. The person who answered asked me if I had filed my income taxes recently with the IRS. They were really pushing for my information, way too hard. It just felt off. The whole thing didn't make sense to me.
