Email claiming to be from USPTO about a trademark we filed

We’re an IP law firm. Got an email that looked like it was from the USPTO asking us to verify company info for a trademark application we filed for a client. I know this isn’t real because the USPTO doesn’t ask for that kind of stuff in normal trademark cases. The email came from someone named John T. Billings. We’re just ignoring it. Not going to call or reply.
