Paid a deposit for a truck bed and seller disappeared
They told me if I wanted to hold it until I could pick it up in a few hours, I needed to Zelle a deposit. So I did, $350. Then they said it would be $150 to ship it but I would need to pay that by Zelle too, even though I was coming in person to get it. I didn't pay the rest.
But as I was driving to Katy to pick it up, they stopped answering. No calls, no texts. I called some nearby businesses and they told me that address is a car lot, not a salvage lot. That's when I knew it was a scam. I messaged the seller saying I was there and to come meet me, and they blocked my number.
