Someone messaged me about being a sugar daddy and sent a weird e-check

Some guy messaged me on social media saying he wanted to be my sugar daddy. He asked for my bank name and email address, said he was going to send me an e-check. But he didn't ask for my routing or account numbers which I thought was strange. Then he wanted my phone number to chat.

He emailed me an e-check and told me to deposit it. But when I looked at it the back of the check was already endorsed. I asked him about it and he said that is just how e-checks work and that I didn't have to sign it. That didn't seem right to me so I didn't do anything with it. His email is [email protected] and he said he was in Missouri.
