Charged for a Thailand visa arrival card that’s free

I was looking up info for my trip to Thailand and found this site, thailandtouristvisaok.com. It looked official enough so I went ahead and paid $165 for the arrival card thing. I thought it was the real government site.

Turns out the actual Thai government doesn’t charge anything for that arrival card. This site just posed as a government website. I only figured it out after I paid and saw the email from [email protected]. The phone number they used was (786) 430-9467. I feel pretty stupid about it now. They took my money and I got nothing real out of it.
