Got a weird letter about my mortgage from a number I don't know

I got this notice in the mail from my bank, Merck Sharp and Dohme Federal Credit Union. It said they've been trying to reach me about something important with my mortgage. It told me to call 1-833-408-1583 and it was signed "The Mortgage Service Center."

I don't know that number. It didn't feel right. I checked with my actual bank and they had no record of sending it or trying to contact me about my mortgage. Nothing adds up. Now I'm just left with this strange letter and a phone number I'm not going to call.
