Got a weird call about a complaint and a case number I don't know
I got this call from someone named Tony. He said he was following up on a complaint filed in his office for me, reference case number 203-08647. He said documents about my file are being prepared to be sent out and that I’d need to be available to sign for them. He said an issuing agent would send confirmation and if they couldn’t reach me at home, they’d try my verified place of employment.
Then he said to stop further action, I needed to call 951-691-1038. He said the call was logged and recorded as proof they tried to notify me. The whole thing felt off. I don’t know anything about this case or complaint. I never filed anything. It just seems like a phishing attempt to get me to call that number.
