Got letters and calls about my warranty but no one will say who sent them
I’ve been getting letters and phone calls saying they’re from Toyota and that I need to activate my vehicle service contract. But I already bought an extended warranty from the dealer when I got the car.
So before I gave out any info I called Toyota to ask why my warranty wasn’t activated yet. They told me it’s a scam and I should just throw the letters away.
But what I want to know is how they got my name, my address, and my cellphone number. Was it Toyota, the warranty company, or the LA DMV? Someone gave them my info and nobody will tell me who.
